Hi, I’m Ron Ackner. I’m a teenager from the Silicon Valley, and I made this blog for fun. I don’t expect for this blog to become a huge internet phenomenon that everyone subscribes to, or anything like that. I’m just making this blog to express my thoughts and such.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m a transplanted Yankees fan, though I try to keep myself unbiased. I try to watch baseball in a more modern, statistic light rather than in a traditional sense.
I love music - almost any kind. I’ll listen to rap if it’s any good, jazz, some types of classical, rock, techno, punk, industrial, whatever. There are very few kinds of music that I won’t listen to.
I am a Windows user, but that doesn’t mean I am one of the traditional stereotypical elitist Windows users who think that anybody using any other “inferior” operating system is an idiot. In fact, I’ve found that almost all modern operating systems have strengths and weaknesses, and it’s only a matter of picking one that is right for you.
I run Windows on perhaps the worst computer ever (OK, that’s a bit of hyperbole). This computer was bought ten years ago and was back then a very good buy. Today it has trouble running anything but the most basic programs. Because of this, I have adjusted by switching to many lightweight programs and applications, some of which I will talk about over the course of this blog.
